How do I get the best results from the AI assistant?

There is no secret prompt and you do not need technical prompting skills. Tell the AI assistant what you want in plain language, like you would brief an employee, and give it as much detail as you can. You do not need to know how to build something before you ask for it.

  1. Overshare. Click the dictation (microphone) button at the bottom of the chat and just talk. Rambling and over-explaining is fine and usually gives better results than a short typed prompt. Share who you are, what you do, who you serve, your ideal clients, your niche, the goal, and the colors, style, mood, look and feel, logo use and animations you want. The AI cannot read your mind, so the more you share, the closer the result is to what you pictured.
  2. Be explicit. When a request is vague, the AI fills in the blanks with what it thinks is best and makes decisions for you, which may not be what you wanted. For example, a short request for an AI receptionist for a dental office produces a full conversation flow for booking, cancelling and rescheduling, and a simple website request may add a lead capture form you never asked for. If you want a specific result, say exactly what you want, including colors (for example "an orange and white website"), the number of emails, the timing and the channels.
  3. Give all your requirements up front. Going back and forth takes longer and uses more credits.
  4. Tell it which skills to use, such as the marketing copy, conversion rate optimization, design taste or humanizer skill, or ask it to pick the best skills itself.
  5. Keep editing by giving more instructions in the same chat. For a small change, such as a button color or some text, it is often quicker to edit it yourself in the builder.
  6. Test what it builds.

If details are missing, the assistant may ask you, for example for your business website. When you do not want questions, say "create it now", tell it not to ask you anything, to follow best practices and to use placeholder values, and turn on auto approve so it does not stop for approval.

Because it is AI, the same prompt gives a different result each time. If you do not like a result, run the same prompt again or ask for another version, and keep the one you like best.

Treat each chat as a thread for one job, such as building a website, setting up the white label or building a marketing sequence, and start a new chat for something new. The assistant shows example prompts you can start from, and you can hover over the plus button in the chat to see ideas.

If you are new, open the assistant on the screen you are working on and ask about what you are trying to do. If you forget how to do something in Votel, ask the assistant and learn by watching what it creates. You do not need to pay someone to build it for you: tell the AI your requirements instead, since a person building it would likely paste them into the AI anyway.
